Financial Support
Financial donations are critical to the continued success of this event.  Contributions in any amount help to offset production and promotional costs.  Please consider being an Otsego Lake Festival sponsor!  Call 607-293-6043 for detailed information.

After three successful years, drawing approximately 1000 attendees, the annual Otsego Lake Festival is a tradition.  This event offers all the features of a festive occasion – music, art, children’s activities, good food and camaraderie – while providing valuable educational opportunities about lake protection and regional water quality programs from those who work to protect these resources.  Organized under the umbrella of Otsego County’s Water Quality Coordinating Committee, personnel from its member organizations are on hand both to distribute literature and to discuss water quality issues one-on-one with all interested parties.

Needless to say, such an endeavour does not come without a cost.  Funds are needed to provide tents and display tables, entertainment, special events, advertising, printing, and more!  Because it takes an entire community to produce a local festival, we are asking for your financial support.  To receive a tax-deduction for contributions, checks should be made payable to the Otsego County Conservation Association with “OLF 08” entered on the check’s memo line.

In return for your sponsorship, your name or your business will be listed on the Lake Festival’s website (www.otsegolakefestival.com) and in the festival’s official program to be distributed on the day of the event.  Businesses will be mentioned in press releases, advertisements and media interviews whenever possible.  In addition, a complementary copy of the Official 2008 Otsego Lake Festival commemorative poster will be available for you to pick up on the day of the event!  Donations received by June 20 will ensure that you can take full advantage of these benefits.  Mail your contribution to: Otsego Lake Festival c/o OCCA, P.O. Box 931, Cooperstown, NY  13326.

We look forward to your support at this year’s festival!  Please join us on Saturday, July 12 as we celebrate Otsego Lake and the vital role of pristine water resources to our region!

Volunteers
There are many ways you can help before and during the event!
If you are interested in volunteering time that suits your personal schedule, please contact Susan O'Handley at Wildlife Learning Company at (607) 293-6043 or at susan@wildlearn.com.

Otsego Lake Festival is Sponsored by
Otsego County's
Water Quality Coordinating Committee

What is the WQCC?
The Water Quality Coordinating Committee (WQCC) is a coalition of government agencies and private organizations working to ensure that Otsego County residents enjoy the benefits of clean water. The WQCC functions as a sub-committee of the Otsego County Soil and Water Conservation District. All of the groups under the WQCC umbrella are working to implement the Otsego Lake Management Plan, the primary goals of which are to ensure the quality of drinking water drawn from the lake for both public and private water supplies and to preserve the lake’s natural beauty as well as its fishery. By organizing the Otsego Lake Festival, the WQCC hopes to engender an appreciation of this county’s water resources and to educate the public about water quality programs protecting Otsego County.
